Foreword

This document is an Executive Summary of the site-specific Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) and the Environmental and Social Management Plan for construction of the southern part of transmission line within CASA-1000 project. The document describes the proposed project and presents major findings of the ESIA and ESMP. The document summarizes how the project could affect people and the environment and the actions that will be taken to reduce the effects on the environment or people. This Executive Summary is part of a larger package of documents, including the ESIA, an Environmental and Social Management Plan.
