A new power transmission line Kairakkum-Asht inaugurated 

in Bobojon Ghafurov district

President Emomali Rahmon’s working visit in midday has been continued to Bobojon Ghafurov district.

At the beginning of this trip, a power transmission line "Kairakkum-Asht" was commissioned with the participation of the Head of state Emomali Rahmon in the district of Bobojon Ghafurov’s Somghor town.

Construction of 220 kV power transmission line was financed by the Asian Development Bank.

Customer project is "Center of the execution of projects of the electricity sector under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan" and OSHC Barqi Tojik and the contractor - the Indian company "kalpataru" ltd.

The project includes the construction work on the 220 kV power transmission line "Kairakkum-Asht", reconstruction of the substation "Kairakkum" and an electrical substation 220/110/10 kV "Asht." The total amount of the project is 11.2 million US dollars.

The total length of transmission line is 74,3 km, it connects through its 181 posts Asht district to the unified energy system of the republic.
